Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
Who We Are
We The People, Liberty and Justice (WTPLAJ) a grassroots community of Americans united by a shared commitment to liberty, justice, constitutional principles, and the well-being of our fellow citizens.
Our members come from different backgrounds, experiences, and walks of life. What brings us together is the belief that stronger communities begin with informed, capable, and compassionate people willing to work together.
Through education, preparedness, civic involvement, and community service, we encourage individuals to become active participants in building a stronger future.
We believe meaningful change begins with ordinary people who care enough to make a difference.
How It All Began — A Gen X Call to Action
Sometimes a movement begins with a carefully written speech. Other times, it begins with someone saying exactly what everyone else is thinking — without worrying about being politically correct.
For WTPLAJ, it was the latter.
Lisa's video was a passionate, unapologetic call to Generation X. Frustrated with the direction of our government and the challenges facing our country, she challenged her generation to step forward, take responsibility, and help clean up the mess.
And in true Gen X fashion, she didn't sugarcoat a single word.
Her message struck a chord.
What began as frustration grew into conversations, connections, and eventually a community of Americans who wanted to do more than complain. We wanted to protect our families, share knowledge, prepare for uncertainty, and help one another.
We came from different backgrounds, political perspectives, and walks of life. We didn't agree on everything then, and we don't have to agree on everything now.
We don't care where you sit politically, what color your skin is, who you love, or how many cats you have. What matters is your willingness to stand beside your fellow Americans and be part of something positive.
While the original call was directed at Generation X, the community that grew from it welcomes Americans of every generation.
Today, WTPLAJ is committed to peaceful, lawful civic involvement, education, preparedness, and strengthening the communities we call home.
Our beginnings may have been loud, colorful, and unmistakably Gen X, but our purpose is clear: turn concern into action and bring people together.
And as Lisa so memorably put it at the end of her video:
"See you motherfuckers on the flip side!"
Community in Action
Hurricane Helene Relief — 2024
When disaster struck, ordinary Americans answered the call.
In late September 2024, Hurricane Helene devastated communities across eastern Tennessee and western North Carolina, leaving families facing unimaginable loss and uncertainty.
Within just five days, WTPLAJ volunteers were on the ground, ready to lend a hand, deliver essential supplies, and begin the difficult work of helping communities recover.
Americans Helping Americans
Our members joined forces with Cajun Navy volunteers to deliver emergency supplies to families in need. Beginning with a staging area in Black Mountain, North Carolina, our operations expanded throughout the region, eventually establishing a forward operating base in Bakersville.
Working alongside the local mayor and town council, WTPLAJ volunteers helped address immediate community needs. Our members also coordinated with National Guard units, Gateway Relief in Spruce Pine, veteran organizations, and Cajun Navy groups.
What began as a small group of determined volunteers grew into a coordinated relief effort involving approximately 50 WTPLAJ volunteers over nearly three months.
Americans traveled from Maine, Kansas, Florida, New Jersey, and other states, setting aside their own routines and responsibilities to help people they had never met.
Boots on the Ground
Our volunteers established a temporary base camp equipped with a kitchen and bathroom to support those working in the disaster zone.
They helped coordinate incoming volunteers, organize supply deliveries, and respond to urgent needs throughout the affected communities.
Their work included assisting residents trapped in damaged homes, removing mud and storm debris, and distributing food, blankets, and other necessities to families who had lost so much.
Multiple supply convoys brought critical resources from across the country, demonstrating what can happen when people unite around a common purpose.
Restoring Vital Communications
One of WTPLAJ's significant contributions was the installation of a GMRS radio repeater with solar charging capability near Bakersville.
With communications disrupted by the storm, this equipment helped residents stay connected and provided an important resource during recovery operations.
It was a practical example of how preparedness skills and shared knowledge can make a meaningful difference during an emergency.
82 Days of Service — And a Little Christmas Magic
After 82 days of dedicated service, WTPLAJ's efforts transitioned from immediate disaster relief toward longer-term recovery and community support.
As the holiday season approached, our volunteers helped bring a little joy to children facing difficult circumstances.
Nearly 1,000 Christmas gifts were distributed to children in the Mitchell County foster care system, offering encouragement and a reminder that their community had not forgotten them.
More Than a Relief Mission
Hurricane Helene demonstrated the strength of ordinary people working together.
For nearly three months, WTPLAJ volunteers shared their time, resources, skills, and compassion with fellow Americans during one of the most challenging periods their communities had experienced.
From clearing debris and delivering supplies to restoring communications and supporting children during the holidays, every contribution mattered.
This experience remains an important chapter in WTPLAJ's history and a reminder of why community preparedness, cooperation, and service matter.
Different states. Different backgrounds. One shared purpose.
Americans Helping Americans.
United by Liberty. Strengthened by Community. Guided by Justice.
